Our Ministry Teams

At Vashon United Methodist Church, we serve our community in many ways, including our ministry teams.

Emergency Preparedness and Response: We partner with VashonBePrepared to help serve our community in the event of severe weather, or a natural disaster.

Green Team: We are caring for God’s creation by using clean energy, including solar power, and reducing waste sent to landfills. Click here to learn more.

Reconciling Ministries Team: We support our congregation’s work as a Reconciling Congregation, and a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. The Reconciling Ministries Network celebrates that LGBTQ+ persons are a good expression of God’s diverse creation, and advocates for the affirmation of all of God’s children in the Church and the world. Social Justice Team: We partner with other local organizations to support and promote the fair and equitable treatment of all persons, especially those who are marginalized.

Spiritual Formation Team: Spiritual formation undergirds all that we do, and the teachings of our faith guide our actions in the world.
