Music

Music is a vital part of our congregation

Music expresses our deep love of God with a variety of musical styles and through many types of musical experiences - choir, small groups, handbells…

These experiences are incorporated into the worship time. Various groups as well as soloists contribute to directing our time of worship to give praise and glory to God. There are many gifted musicians in our congregation. They share their talent with us as soloists and through our musical groups.

Ann Lansdon is our pianist, accompanying congregational singing and offering Prelude, Offertory, Communion, and Postlude music most Sundays. Barry Cooper conducts our choirs as well as playing his collection of horns, and on occasion handbells, along with leading congregational singing and special anthems.

Music during COVID-19… since vocal singing in person is currently not allowed, Pastor Paul has incorporated many beautiful and compelling video recordings into the zoom worship format - videos of choral singing, solo singing, chants and instrumental music performed by children and adults. Ann Lansdon plays several hymns during each worship service and Barry Cooper often plays a solo handbell piece, accompanied by Ann. Gifted musicians amongst our congregation and community have graced worship with beautiful live music during worship.
