We strive for the full inclusion of persons with disabilities. We offer assisted hearing devices, large print bulletins, accessible restrooms and an elevator. Please ask an usher for assistance or any other accommodation you may need. We also welcome service animals.

Sunday School: 
We are currently unable to provide Sunday school classes for children. Children are always welcome during our worship service. Contact the church office for further conversation about how we can support your family.

Sunday Morning Worship:
In the sanctuary, at 10 a.m ~ We welcome children in worship service and are accustomed to all the noises that children make.

From community service and mission projects to music events to weekly gatherings, there are many ways children can be participate in community.

HOT SAUCE! After-School Youth Program

We host a free after school program on Thursdays, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for middle school students that is non-religious in nature and includes a variety of activities. Snacks are provided. The program is facilitated by Nicky Wilks and Kristen Dallum. Visit the Hot Sauce! website...


Lectionary Bible Study Class  
Meets at 10:30 a.m. most Wednesdays in the Primary Room in the Education Building. The format is to read and discuss the lectionary readings for the coming Sunday.

Men's Fellowship
Men are invited to coffee every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m in the church Fellowship Hall adjacent to the sanctuary. Other meetings may get cancelled, but not men's coffee.

Women's Tea & Coffee
Women are invited to coffee or tea every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m at the Roasterie.

Book and Potluck Group
Meets first Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in a participant's home. Books are chosen for the next year at the May meeting. Criteria used in selection of a book are that the book 1) should be about a person's life that inspires our own life, 2) presents an issue that encourages our action, or 3) increases understanding of other cultures. A list of the year's chosen books will be given to the Vashon Library in order to assure the books will be available through the library system. Books are also available at the Vashon Bookshop.There is still room for members as well as hosts and volunteers to lead the discussions. All are welcome to participate. Check our monthly newsletter, The Windjammeror call our church office at (206) 463-9804 for information about the next meeting. The group creates the reading list at the beginning of the year.

Our Purpose

“The Organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;  to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

There are small groups that meet monthly from September to May around shared interests.  All women are welcome to join in any of the following activities

Knitting Group – Led by Jackie Van Gilder, meets second Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. in the Primary Room.

Reading Group – Led by Carol Butler, meets third Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. in the Primary Room.

Quilting – Does not meet as a  group but individuals may get ready made kits to sew quilts at home.  Children's quilts are sent to Seattle Children's Hospital.  Contact Edee Eggert for more information.

Lunch Bunch – Led by Claire Hallowell, meets fourth Thursday, usually at noon, in various locations.

Community Service Group - helps with the 1st Sunday Worship Service at 9:00 a.m. at the Vashon Community Care.

In addition to the monthly focus group meetings, some all group meetings may be scheduled as needed during the year. The June Salad Potluck is one of them. Check the News & Events page for the latest information.
