Those who recall the December storm two years ago that left the church without power for a full week will welcome this message:

Thanks to Stan Thoreson the church power supply is now connected to  the main power line serving the downtown area - all accomplished at no cost due to the efforts of Stan and his friends at Puget Sound Power. 

Previously the church power line was serving other down line customers and was vulnerable to failure during storms and a delayed repair response time. We now have the benefit of being on the main line and know that this is the line to receive priority service if it fails since it  serves all of downtown Vashon.
