Nov 26, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Thanksgiving Dinner at VUMC

Family Ministries will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving feast in the fellowship hall this year on Thanksgiving Day at 2 pm.  Dinner will be followed by board games and puzzles.  Bring a friend or two!  Please make reservations by signing up on the Family Ministries board in the fellowship hall BEFORE November 23.  

Nov 26, 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm, Ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve service

An ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit at 7:30 p.m. on November 26.

Nov 29, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, Hanging of the greens
Liliian Thorsen will coordinate thius annual event. Lunch will be provided, and there will be crafts for the children
Dec 6, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Holly Daze Craft Bazaar

Holly Daze Craft Bazaar sponsored by Children's Hospital Vashon Guild will be held in the Vashon High School Commons on December 6 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The bazaar includes 40 craft booths, holiday sweets, hot food, and a festive atmosphere. Two quilts donated by VUMC will also be raffled.

Dec 13, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Lighthouse Theatre fundraiser

Lighthouse Theatre will host its second annual Figgy Pudding Fundraiser on Saturday, December 13th from 7-9  in the VUMC Fellowship Hall. The event will feature a silent auction, fabulous desserts, and caroling.

 

Proceeds from the event will help Lighthouse Theatre to create an internship program in drama therapy, the first of its kind in the Pacific

 

Northwest.  Lighthouse Theatre was founded in 2004 under the umbrella of the Vashon United Methodist Church.  We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, dedicated to using theatre arts to empower individuals and strengthen the community.  Our programs have helped to support programs for the homeless, the elderly, and to provide outreach and education to service providers in the fields of domestic violence and drug and alcohol prevention programs.
